Clare Bronowski

Clare Bronowski specializes in land use and environmental law. With vast experience in administrative and municipal law, transactional real estate and land use processing and litigation, Ms. Bronowski works closely with her clients to guide major development projects through the complex and challenging governmental entitlement process. This expertise makes Ms. Bronowski an integral part of any land development team.

Ms. Bronowski’s practice covers a wide range of development areas, including redevelopment law, zoning, planning and permitting. She has received recognition for her specialized knowledge in California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance, including the preparation and legal defense of environmental impact reports and mitigated negative declarations. In addition, Ms. Bronowski is experienced in processing land development projects under the California Coastal Act before the Coastal Commission.

Ms. Bronowski served as chair of the Los Angeles County Beach Commission. She has also served as chair of the Baldwin Hills Conservancy and as a member of the City of Los Angeles Convention Center Commission and the City of Los Angeles Civil Service Commission. She is a former governor of the Century City Bar Association and served on the Los Angeles Superior Court Ad Hoc Committee on CEQA Writs.

  • Affordable housing and non-profit clients, such as Linc Housing, Otis College, and Wildwood School.
  • Senior living providers including Masonic Homes of California and Los Angeles Jewish Home, planning and entitling senior communities in Southern California.
  • Governmental agencies such as the Los Angeles Unified School District and the Santa Monica Community College District in special projects.
  • Reported CEQA cases include: No Oil v. City of Los Angeles, 196 Cal. App. 3d 223, and Cadiz Land Co. v. Rail Cycle, 83 Cal. App. 4th 74.
